Huddersfield Town’s First Team and Development Squad players returned to the pitches at PPG Canalside on Friday morning – and we’ve got the pictures!
After two days of testing at the University of Huddersfield, as explained by Head of Sports Science Al Stewart and Captain Mark Hudson here, the players returned to the training ground earlier today for the first of many sessions ahead of the 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship season.
After a warm-up, the First Team and Under-21 players undertook the dreaded YoYo test! Several players put in notable performances, but it was first year professional striker Ronan Coughlan who outlasted his colleagues.
The squad, under the watching eye of Manager Chris Powell and his Technical Staff, then moved to the grass where the hard work continued, with the footballs soon coming out.
The entire squad observed a minute’s silence at noon as a mark of respect for the victims of the recent beach attack in Tunisia a week ago.
After a break for lunch, the players joined Strength & Conditioning Coach Dan Hughes in Stripes Gym to continue the work.
