Weekend goalscorer keen to put defeat right

Harry Bunn is keen to put last weekend's derby defeat behind him and refocus on Saturday’s game at Millwall, where three points are the aim for Town.

The forward came on to score from the bench, but the goal ended up being nothing more than scant consolation in the 2-1 home reversal to Leeds.

“We were all disappointed with the result, but also shocked at what happened at the end with Tommy (Smith). He’s a good lad and we’re all glad he’s alright,” Harry explained.

“I came on at a tough time because we had just conceded. When we had the ball, the manager wanted me as high up the pitch as possible to play with Vaughany and when we didn’t have the ball I had to track back, especially down the left-hand side. I thought I did ok; I was quite pleased with my performance, although I maybe tired a little towards the end.

“I think the goal was my first header I’ve scored professionally! The ball missed everyone, but I’d got up early at the back post and thankfully it ended up in the back of the net. Hopefully I can get a few more now.

“When we got the goal back I thought we looked the better side and at the time we looked like we’d go on. We created a few more chances than Leeds, but credit to them – they stuck at what they were doing and nicked it right at the end.”

“It’s always very disappointing to lose, particularly in a derby, but we need to put it to the back of our minds now and move on to get a result this weekend.”
