Standard Fireworks Safety Poster Design Competition
- Huddersfield Town teams up with Standard Fireworks
- Kids asked to design poster for Bonfire Night
- Winner gets to come to game vs Derby County!
Huddersfield Town and Club Partner Standard Fireworks have today launched a Poster Design competition, which aims to promote the Firework Safety Code in the run up to bonfire night.
Following on from the success of last year, this season the initiative is open to all children who are aged 11 and under on 1 September 2015.
The winning poster will be used to aid firework safety, with the winner receiving a selection box of Fireworks courtesy of Standard Fireworks (these must be accepted by an adult over the age of 18).
Entries must be drawn by hand and on an A4 sheet of paper. The poster must include the Firework Code (click HERE for more information) as well as the logos of Huddersfield Town and Standard Fireworks.
The winner will also be invited to the Huddersfield Town vs Derby County game at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday 24 October and will be given the chance to start the display at Town’s annual family fun firework event on Sunday 25 October at PPG Canalside!
Town’s Events Coordinator Katie Barraclough explained:
“I am delighted that Huddersfield Town is working together with Standard Fireworks to promote the important message of Firework Safety.
“It is the second year of this initiative and after the success of last year, we want to give even more children in the community the opportunity to create a Firework Safety poster and generate even more awareness surrounding Bonfire Night safety.
“Bonfire Night is a fantastic occasion for all the family to enjoy and by using our excellent links within schools and the community, with the help of Standard Fireworks, we can do our part to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening.”
The closing date for entries is Saturday 26 September. All entries should include the child’s name, date of birth, home address, contact telephone number and school name on the back of the poster and should be returned to:
