U18s HOST IPSWICH ON SATURDAY

10 April 2015

Match at PPG Canalside in the morning

Town’s Under-18 side hosts Ipswich Town on Saturday 11 April 2015, with Tony Carss’ youngsters able to secure one of the top two spots in the Professional Development League 2 North on the day.

The top two sides in the division progress to the end of season Play-Offs against their southern equivalents and a point would secure Town's slot; the Terriers are currently six points above third placed Coventry City with two games remaining.

Town would top the northern table by winning the last two games; this game against Ipswich and the final fixture at home to Crewe Alexandra on 18 April.

The young Terriers will go into the game with confidence following a 2-0 victory away at Birmingham City in their last league match in midweek, where a brace from Jack Boyleearned them the win.

Carss’ side still sit second in the North Professional Development League 2 behind Nottingham Forest; currently one point behind the leaders but with a game in hand.

Saturday's visitors Ipswich Town sits third in the southern Professional Development League 2 table with 42 points from 25 fixtures. With Saturday's fixture their last of the season, the Tractor Boys can't get into the end of season Play-Offs; they sit five points behind second placed Charlton Athletic.

The game will kick-off at 11am at Town's PPG Canalside training ground (509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ).
