POWELL ISSUES RALLYING CALL TO FANS

21 April 2015

Town's Manager on the £5 ticket offer

Manager Chris Powell has urged Huddersfield Town fans to take advantage of the £5 tickets available to fans who pre-purchase for Saturday’s game at home to Blackburn Rovers.

Any supporter buying a ticket for Saturday’s final home game of the season against Jordan Rhodes’ Blackburn before midnight on Friday will pay just £5, with Powell hoping the increased numbers help his side finish with a flourish.

“I’m absolutely delighted the Club – led by Dean Hoyle – has decided to make it £5 for our final home game of the season,” Powell told htafc.com.

“There’s a real feel-good factor surrounding Town after our recent unbeaten run and some very exciting and entertaining games at home. It’s my top priority to ensure that continues going into the summer – starting when we take on Blackburn this Saturday.

“£5 tickets will also give as many Huddersfield Town supporters as possible the opportunity to come down and celebrate another eventful year at home in the Sky Bet Championship as one big community, which is exactly what I’ve quickly come to learn this Club is.

“The support of Huddersfield Town fans up and down the country has been such an important factor in our season; I honestly believe the vocal backing of the fans has helped us get over the line on several occasions this year. It would be great to see the highest gate of the season at the John Smith’s on Saturday, as it will give the squad and the staff the chance to thank fans for their support after the game.

“Equally, it might see a few new faces give football at Huddersfield Town a try, which would be great for the Club. We’ll aim to put on another exciting performance and get the win that makes them want to come back again next term.

“We want to give our supporters a really positive send-off to whet their appetite and leave them wanting more next season, which we’ll aim to do this weekend.

“I can’t wait for a sea of blue and white in all three home ends on Saturday in what will hopefully be our biggest home crowd of the campaign.”
