Bunn’s side defeated for first time this season
Town’s Under-21 side was defeated for the first time this season at the hands of visitors Crystal Palace at PPG Canalside this morning.
19 year-old Palace winger Sullay KaiKai put the Eagles two goals up at the interval, first netting a long range drive that went in via the crossbar before converting a penalty, having been brought down by ‘keeper Lloyd Allinson.
First year professional defender Joe Wilkinson reduced the arrears with a 54th minute header, getting across the near post to glance a corner home.
However, Palace midfielder Ghass Sow netted inside the final ten minutes after a good Palace move.
Striker Flo Bojaj gave Town faint hope of a late comeback by tapping home after the visiting goalkeeper spilled a cross, but there wasn’t enough time for a Town third.
