Academy graduate gets late cameo for Bury
Town midfielder Duane Holmes made his second appearance for Bury in the Shakers’ goalless League 2 draw at Wycombe Wanderers’ Adams Park on Saturday.
As per his debut for David Flitcroft’s side, Duane was a late second-half substitute for Bury at the weekend – replacing fellow midfielder Tom Soares in the 87th minute.
Duane will be hoping to make an impact when sixth placed Bury play at Carlisle United’s Brunton Park on Saturday 13 September.
Fellow Town loanee Jake Carroll didn’t play at the weekend as the Scottish Premier League took an international break. He’ll be hoping to make his second start for Partick Thistle when Inverness Caledonian Thistle comes to town on Saturday.
