Visitors peg back Town at PPG Canalside

Town’s Under-18s couldn’t secure all three points in the latest Professional Development League 2 game of the season at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning, despite taking a two goal lead against visitors Coventry City.

Midfielder Adam Porritt (pictured) gave Tony Carss’s side the lead going into the interval and things looked good when Irish striker Ronan Coughlan doubled the advantage in the 65th minute, but the visitors fought back hard to take a point from the game.

Despite not holding onto its lead, Town’s Under-18 side is now six games unbeaten and has won six and drawn two of its last nine games.

Town’s team (4-2-3-1):
Tadhg Ryan; Jack Senior, Nathaniel Pells, Jacob Hanson, Brad Carroll (c); Regan Booty, Jamie Spencer; Jack Boyle (Sam Warde, 85), Ronan Coughlan, Adam Porritt (Dylan Cogill, 90); Rekeil Pyke

Unused Substitutes:
Owen Brooke, Lewis O’Brien, Harry Clibbens
