Get your hands on a replica of a club classic

If you were a Town fan during the early eighties, the latest addition to the range will definitely be of interest to you!

Huddersfield Town has recently brought in a limited stock of replica ‘Central Mirfield’ home shirts, which are on sale now in the Stadium Superstore, the Packhorse Centre store in Huddersfield town centre and online at

The shirt was Town’s first to feature a sponsor and was worn by the team for the 1982/83 and 1983/84 seasons.

The car fleet garage reportedly paid a fee of less than £10,000 to gain the honour of displaying their name on the shirt, as the company’s sales director was a huge Town fan.

Some of the most notable Town players to appear in the shirt include Mark Lillis, Micky Kennedy and David Burke.

The 1982/83 season was a great year for Town as they finished third in Division Three to gain promotion to Division Two.

With Mick Buxton at the helm, current Academy Manager Mark Lillis finished as top scorer with 20 goals and Town managed to remain unbeaten at home for the entirety of the season.

The following season in the shirt was one of consolidation for Buxton and his side. Town were to finish 12th, which was a respectable showing as a newly promoted club. Lillis was the top goal scorer for the second season running with 11 goals.

The shirt can be found in the club shop and is priced at £35, so waste no time in rolling back the years and get your shirt today! Click HERE to buy it online.

The Central Mirfield shirt is available in all adult sizes from small to XXL inclusive, although there are only limited numbers remaining in large.

If your tastes go a bit further back than the eighties, the Club is also stocking a replica shirt from the 1920s, when Town famously became ‘Thrice Champions’. Click HERE to look at the shirt and buy it online now!
