Revell Ward sponsored event makes a splash
The wet conditions at the John Smith’s Stadium on Thursday worked in Huddersfield Town’s favour as they finished third in the annual ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition sponsored by Club Partner Revell Ward.
It was a marked improvement on the last two years when the Terriers finished dead last on both occasions.
The networking event took place on the pitch at the Stadium and involved six corporate teams made up of representatives from Abzorb, Brewfitt, WM Sykes, Huddersfield Town, KSDL and Stafflex.
In total over 60 people took part in a variety of obstacle courses and challenges with Shooting Star winners Brewfitt (click HERE) coming out on top.
Proceeds from the event were donated to the Town Foundation and Corporate Fundraising Officer Mandy Taylor said: “It was good to see everyone enjoying themselves despite the weather and raising money for our worthy cause. Everyone who took part has helped feed a young child in the local area.”
The money donated to the charity from the event will directly benefit a child or young person, as no administration costs are taken from donations and all donations are matched by the charity founder and Huddersfield Town Chairman, Dean Hoyle.
Town’s Senior Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson commented:
“It was a fantastic effort by our team on what proved to be another very fun day despite the weather, which was superbly attended by a number of our Club partners. It put a different spin on a networking event and a good day was had by all those involved.”
