Peter Woodhead wins £5,000 with On the Move lottery
One of Huddersfield Town’s longest serving On the Move (OTM) agents has scooped the lottery’s £5,000 jackpot!
Peter Woodhead, Landlord and OTM Agent at the Vulcan public house, won Tuesday’s rollover and was today presented with his cheque by Town’s Promotions Manager Karen Haigh: “Many of my customers are loyal Huddersfield Town fans that have frequented the Vulcan since the Cowshed and Old Leeds Road days,” he said.
“I know just how important the Academy is to the Club and that is the main reason why I became an agent; it is my main selling point when trying to sell tickets for the lottery.”
Town’s Academy is currently thriving thanks to the support of the Promotions Department. The Club’s Under-21 and Under-18 teams won their respective leagues with the U18s also winning the end of season Play-Off.
Mr Woodhead continued: “We have got a busy month coming up with the World Cup so I haven’t really considered what I will spend my winnings on. Once the games are over I will look at booking a holiday for starters!”
Peter, who has been an OTM Agent since the Club came out of administration over 12 years ago, currently has 13 members but is looking to increase this to over 25 so that he is eligible to receive a free Huddersfield Town Season Card.
