FRIENDLY AT GUISELEY CONFIRMED

16 May 2014

Terriers travel to Nethermoor in pre-season

The Huddersfield Town squad will travel to Skrill North outfit Guiseley AFC for a pre-season friendly on Monday 21 July, 7.45pm kick-off.

Town’s side will feature a mix of players from the squad; a strong, but youthful side including players from the Club’s league-winning Under-21 team and double-winning Under-18 team who are making the step up this season.

The Lions only just missed out on promotion to the Skrill Premier in 2013/14 courtesy of a Play-Off Final defeat to Altrincham earlier this month.

Playing at Nethermoor Park, Guiseley are managed by former Bradford City defender Mark Bower and boast former Town Captain Andy Holdsworth amongst their ranks.

The two sides met in a corresponding friendly ahead of the 2013/14 season, with an entertaining game ending in a 2-2 draw; Jordan Sinnott and Matt Crooks, who were instrumental to the Terriers’ success at Under-21 level that campaign, were Town’s scorers.

Admission prices for this game will be confirmed on htafc.com at a later date.

Town’s squad already has pre-season friendlies arranged at Scunthorpe United (26 July), Oldham Athletic (2 August) and at home to Newcastle United (5 August).

Further announcements regarding Huddersfield Town friendlies ahead of the 2014/15 Championship season will be made first on htafc.com.
