Huddersfield Town

The full 2014/15 Championship fixtures have been revealed at 9am this morning, with Town pitted against the Cherries at the John Smith’s Stadium on the opening day.

That game is quickly followed up with a long away trip to newly relegated Cardiff City the following weekend.

Other fixtures of note include the Yorkshire derbies. Town take on Middlesbrough at home on Saturday 13 September, with the all West Yorkshire clash against Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday 20 September. The return game against United will be played at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday 31 January 2015.

Town have another all-Yorkshire clash over the Easter weekend in 2015, taking on Sheffield Wednesday away in a game that is currently scheduled for Saturday 4 April. Ipswich Town will then visit the John Smith’s Stadium on Easter Monday (6 April).

Town’s first trip to the capital follows on Saturday 8 November when the Terriers will play Championship new boys Fulham, although they do get close to London with an early game at Watford on 30 August. 

Mark Robins’ side don’t have far to travel on Boxing Day; they will play at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium on 26 December. That is quickly followed up with a home game to Bolton Wanderers on 28 December, with no New Year’s Day fixture this season.

The Terriers also have a short journey on the final day of the season, when they will travel to new Assistant Manager Steve Thompson’s former side Blackpool on Saturday 2 May.
