TOWN’S TEAM vs. SHEFF UTD

29 July 2014

Strong line-up for game at Bramall Lane

Town Manager Mark Robins has named new signing Radoslaw Majewski among the substitutes just hours after his arrival for tonight’s pre-season friendly at League 1 Sheffield United; 7.45pm kick-off at Bramall Lane.

Robins’ side is expected to line up in a 3-5-2 formation to begin the evening, with summer capture Joe Murphy in goal behind the trio of Joel Lynch, Captain Lee Peltier and Matt Crooks - who continues to feature in defence during pre-season.

Paul Dixon and Adam Hammill start at left and right wing-backs, flanking the central midfield trio of Jonathan Hogg, Oliver Norwood and Adam Clayton, who is fit despite suffering a dead leg at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

Sean Scannell will play in a central attacking role tonight in support of Nahki Wells.

Although James Vaughan is back in training after the muscle tightness that ruled him out at Scunthorpe on Saturday, he is not risked this evening. Danny Ward (hamstring), Anthony Gerrard (calf) and Oscar Gobern (toe) also miss out.
