TOWN CENTRE STORE OPENING SOON

23 July 2014

Retail presence returning to Huddersfield town centre

Shopping at Huddersfield Town will become more convenient than ever for supporters when the Club opens a new retail shop in the town centre during August 2014.

The shop is set to open in the Packhorse Shopping Centre, located in the heart of Huddersfield with an entrance off the pedestrianized King Street, next month.

The new store will sell a full range of Huddersfield Town replica shirts and official merchandise, adding to the existing Stadium Superstore at the John Smith’s Stadium and online offering at www.htafcmegastore.com.

It will be the first time that the Club has had a retail presence in the town centre since the old Sporting Pride store – which was shared with the Huddersfield Giants – closed in August 2013 (click HERE for more info).

Huddersfield Town’s Retail Manager Luke Cowan explained:

“We constantly review our retail operation at the Club and in August 2013 changing circumstances made the old Sporting Pride store untenable.

“However, our intention has always been to try and have a retail presence back in Huddersfield town centre for the convenience of our supporters who cannot make it to the Stadium on non-match days and prefer to browse our wide range of products in person as opposed to online.

“The Packhorse Centre is a great location at the heart of the town centre, with lots of footfall from the main shopping area. The shop will be spacious, ideally located and stock a full range of everything the Club has to offer.

“When we have a confirmed date for its launch, we are planning to hold a special event at the shop so keep an eye out for news of that; I hope to see lots of our supporters there to take advantage of some special offers!”
