Stadium company hiring for match days
Kirklees Stadium Development Limited (KSDL) is looking for people who are willing to work on Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants match days, as well as event days/evenings throughout the year, to become part-time safety, car park and courtesy stewards.
The main duty of a steward is to ensure the safety of the general public at all times during an event held at The John Smith’s Stadium.
Previous experience of dealing with customers and/or large crowds is preferable but not essential as attending training sessions is a requirement of the role.
You must be an honest individual, punctual and committed to attending most matches and events held at the Stadium. Good communication skills are essential.
You will work approximately four hours on match days; the specific hours will be variable depending on the time of kick off. Match days can be any day of the week but are predominantly Saturdays and Sundays. The pay rate for this job is above minimum wage.
Huddersfield Town’s Operations Director Ann Hough added:
“We know from the feedback on our recent ‘All Together Town’ fan panel that the standard of stewarding on Huddersfield Town match days is an important issue for our supporters. As such, it would be good for everyone if stewards at our games have a strong affinity with the Club and understand our supporters. As a result, the football club is keen to support KSDL with this recruitment drive.”
