In association with the Huddersfield Examiner

Huddersfield Town today held the first ever ‘Welcome to the Season’ event at PPG Canalside, with 500 supporters turning out to get an exclusive look at the First Team squad in training before the start of the new Championship season.
Fans saw Assistant Manager Steve Thompson and the rest of the new-look technical staff put the squad through its paces on the PPG Canalside training pitches.
Gates opened at 10.30am with the training session commencing at 11am. The team coach was on site for fans to have a look how the players travel to away matches, thanks to Eavesway Travel.
The free to attend, all ticket event was held in conjunction with the Huddersfield Examiner, who provided supporters with goodies. The Pulse Radio broadcasted live from the event and entertained the crowds with music, games and competitions.
After lunch, the signing session commenced, with the First Team squad also posing for photos.
Huddersfield Town's Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan commented:

“I would like to thank all the fans who turned out in force to attend today’s ‘Welcome to the Season Event’, I hope they enjoyed the day and got to meet their favourite players.
“Today was a new alternative to the Open Day that has been held in previous years, and it was nice to be able to do something a bit different at our PPG Canalside training ground.
“Thank you to the Examiner for their fantastic support of the day, and also to the Pulse Radio.”
