Two changes made to starting XI
Calum Woods makes his first start in over three months as one of two changes to the starting XI for tonight’s Sky Bet Championship game against AFC Bournemouth; 7.45pm kick-off at the Goldsands Stadium.
The former Dunfermline Athletic defender steps into the void created through Adam Hammill’s absence; he is sidelined due to the knee injury picked up against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Tonight is Calum’s first start since the defeat at Leicester City on 19 October and his first appearance on the pitch in eight games.
The other change comes in attack, where Nahki Wells is reinstated to the line-up after being cup tied at the weekend. He replaces James Vaughan, who hasn’t travelled to Dorset due to a knee problem.
The Terriers are otherwise unchanged, so ever-present goalkeeper Alex Smithies skippers the side behind centre halves Murray Wallace, Anthony Gerrard and Tommy Smith.
Scottish international Paul Dixon starts at left wing-back with Calum Woods on the right, with the central midfield trio consisting of Oscar Gobern, Adam Clayton and Oliver Norwood, who is making the 100th League appearance of his career tonight.
In attack, Danny Ward partners Nahki Wells, who will be hoping to add to his two goals in as many games for the Club.
Club Captain Peter Clarke completes his return from his knee injury sustained 13 games ago by taking his place among the substitutes, where he is joined by January recruit Joe Lolley.
