SPENCER RETURNS TO TOWN

6 January 2014

Striker returns from spell at Scunthorpe

Huddersfield Town striker Jimmy Spencer has returned to the Club following the expiry of his loan at League 2 Scunthorpe United.

The 22 year-old joined the Iron in late August and made 16 appearances in total, eight as a starter. His solitary goal for the Club came in November when he scored in the 86th minute of a 4-0 victory over Rochdale.

Spencer has enjoyed loan spells at Morecambe and Cheltenham during his career and featured for Town’s Development Squad at the start of the season.

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins said:

“At this stage of Jimmy’s career he needs to be playing regular first team football to continue his development.

“We were pleased with the opportunities he was given at Scunthorpe and will be aiming to get Jimmy a similar move in the coming weeks.”
