TOWN’S TEAM vs. LEEDS

1 February 2014

Robins names unchanged eleven

Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins has named an unchanged starting XI for today’s 3pm kick-off at Leeds United.

James Vaughan (knee), Adam Hammill (knee), Jonathan Hogg (hip) and Joel Lynch (groin) all remain sidelined for today’s West Yorkshire derby, so Robins has gone for the same team that started the midweek game at AFC Bournemouth.

This means Alex Smithies will captain the Terriers again this afternoon at the ground where he made his full debut for the Club just over six years ago behind centre halves Murray Wallace, Anthony Gerrard and Tommy Smith.

Paul Dixon makes the 250th League start of his career at left wing-back, while midweek goalscorer Calum Woods starts consecutive games for the first time this campaign on the right.

The central midfield trio consists of former Leeds United player Adam Clayton, Oliver Norwood and Oscar Gobern, leaving Danny Ward – a scorer when Town beat Leeds 3-2 on home soil earlier this season – partners Nahki Wells in attack.

Martin Paterson returns to the bench today following a three game absence due to a thigh injury picked up in the home win over Millwall; he replaces Jon Stead in the match day 18.
