Defender voted January Player of the Month
Huddersfield Town’s Blue and White Foundation members have voted defender Paul Dixon as their Player of the Month for January.
The 27 year-old featured in all six of Town’s games during January, which began with a 3-2 defeat at Burnley.
The defender turned wing-back set-up Martin Paterson’s second in the defeat with a low cross. Three days later at Grimsby he was on the winning team and had a big hand in the final goal, which was deflected home via a Grimsby player from his cross.
The wing-back has been one of Town’s most consistent performers this month despite the team’s poor recent form.
BWF member Emma Bownas was picked out at random from those that voted for Dixon and she will now get the chance to meet Paul and present him with a bottle of champagne ahead of today’s game.
Emma will receive a commemorative photograph of the occasion and a meal for two courtesy of the Grange Pub and Restaurant at Grange Moor.
