Final Third Development League game for young Terriers

Town’s Under-21 side is in action for the final time in 2014 today in a Final Third Development League game at Doncaster Rovers.

Frankie Bunn’s side will take on the hosts at their Cantley Road training ground (off Ascot Avenue, Cantley Park, Cantley, Doncaster, DN4 6HE) from 1pm. Admission is £1 adults and 50p concessions.

Town entered the Final Third Development League competition for the first time this season. Although classed as a development competition, there are no age restrictions on the Final Third Development League – unlike the U21 Professional Development League 2 and the U21 Premier League Cup.

The team is currently in one of four northern round robin Cup groups alongside Mansfield Town, Doncaster Rovers, Derby County and Rotherham. Town will play each team once, with the group winners advancing to the competition’s semi-final stage.

The young Terriers have won their one previous game in the competition so far this term; a 3-1 home win over Mansfield Town at PPG Canalside. Click HERE for the match report.

If you can’t make it to Doncaster but you want to stay up to date with the action, Town’s Twitter account - @htafcdotcom – will have team news and goal updates throughout the afternoon.
