Boyle free-kick sends youngsters top

Huddersfield Town’s Under-18 side went top of the Professional Development League 2 North thanks to a hard-fought 2-1 home victory over Birmingham City at PPG Canalside on Saturday morning.

Scottish striker Liam Coogans gave the young Terriers an early lead in wet conditions at the training ground, but Birmingham showed why they were top of the division coming into the game and fought back strongly, levelling midway through the second half.

Town were pinned back for periods of the game, but grabbed all three points late in the second-half thanks to a superbly taken free-kick from midfielder Jack Boyle (pictured above).

Highlights of the game will appear on Town's official YouTube channel - www.youtube.com/officialhtafc - on Monday.
