READING AT HOME IN FA CUP

Third Round draw gives Town all-Championship clash

Huddersfield Town has been drawn at home to Reading in the Third Round of this season’s FA Cup.

The draw, which took place in Hull on Monday evening, handed the Terriers an all-Championship clash against Nigel Adkins’ Royals.

The game will take place over the weekend of 3 January 2015 at the John Smith’s Stadium, with admission info and the exact date to be confirmed on htafc.com at a later date.

Reading currently sit 14th in the Championship table, one point and one place above Town. The sides have met once already this season, when Town won 2-1 at the Madejski Stadfium thanks to goals from Jacob Butterfield and Harry Bunn.

The two clubs have previously met in the FA Cup on two occasions, both games taking place in the 1985/86 season. After a 0-0 draw at Leeds Road, Reading won the second game 2-1 at the old Elm Park ground.
