NEW TERRY THE TERRIER FOR 2014/15!

8 August 2014

Big debut for new Town mascot on Saturday

Terry the Terrier is back for the new season – and now he’s better than ever!

Terry has had a makeover in time for the new Sky Bet Championship campaign and now he looks cuddlier and friendlier than ever before, which is sure to go down well with the young Terriers in the stands!

He certainly looks more like an authentic Yorkshire Terrier – you’d be barking mad not to agree!

Terry made a ‘behind the scenes’ debut during Tuesday night’s friendly against Newcastle United, when he met mascots Mia Sykes 10, Jack Sykes 7, Oliver Harrop, 9 and Milli Patterson, 3, who all loved his new look.

Huddersfield Town’s Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan commented:

“Mascots are a fun part of the match day and Club for young fans.

In making the decision to update Terry’s look, we thought it was very important to ask the group of supporters that Terry appeals to and engages with most what they thought - our younger fans! They told us they wanted Terry to be furrier, friendlier looking, fatter and, most importantly, more like a dog!

“We’re really looking forward to finding out what the Club’s supporters think of the new-look Terry at our games this season.”

Fans will get the chance to see the new Terry, who is sponsored by club partner Kirklees Active Leisure, at the season opener versus AFC Bournemouth on Saturday 9 August.
