James nominated for August ‘Player of the Month’
Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan has been nominated to the shortlist of four for the Sky Bet Championship August Player of the Month award.
Town’s reining Player of the Year, who re-joined the Club permanently in the summer after a successful season-long loan, has netted eight goals in seven starts during August, which included a hat-trick in the thumping 5-1 home win over AFC Bournemouth.
‘Vaughany’ is up against Watford’s Troy Deeney, QPR’s Clint Hill and Nottingham Forest’s Andy Reid for the accolade.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman, Football League Head of Communications John Nagle, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet’s Head of Football Paul Wiggins.
The winner will be announced at 6am on Friday 6 September.
