Coach provider will take fans to the YAA!
Stotts Coaches has today been confirmed as the official sponsor of the 2013 ‘Walk for Pounds’ event, which raises funds for the ‘Keep it Up’ campaign.
The 19 mile walk will set off from Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s airbase at Leeds Bradford Airport to the Stadium in time for the home game v Watford on Saturday 5 October 2013 and as part of the sponsorship, Stotts Coaches will provide transport for all entrants to the starting point.
Officially named E. Stott and Sons Ltd, Stotts is one of the leading coach hire operators in West Yorkshire, based in Milnsbridge, Huddersfield. A family run company with more than 50 years’ experience in the bus and coach industry, it operates a fleet of over 30 vehicles.
Mark Stott, a long-time Town supporter and Season Card holder, said:
“Stotts Coaches is delighted to be able to sponsor the ‘Walk for Pounds’ event and provide the transport for those taking part.
“Stotts has a long and happy relationship with both Huddersfield Town and the wider community of Huddersfield, so being able to play our part in an event that involves both, as well as helping a terrific cause like the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and also the Huddersfield Town Academy, is something we are happy to be involved with.”
Huddersfield Town’s Supporter Partnerships Manager Robyn Deegan added:
“I would like to thank Mark, Carl and the team from Stotts for their help in organising the logistics of the travel; it is very much appreciated by the Club.
“Town fans have until Monday 16 September to sign up to Walk for Pounds and I hope Stotts’ kind offer to take supporters to the starting point at Leeds Bradford Airport will help make the decision to take part easier.
“This year’s event promises to build upon the very successful Walk for Pounds event in 2012 and we’re hoping for record numbers to take part and raise money for two very worthwhile causes.”
The event entry fee is £10 per person which includes breakfast pre-walk, a snack and refreshment as well as an ‘I completed the Walk’ t-shirt. Coach transport from Canalside to LBA is also included.
Please note participants aged 15 and under must be supervised by an adult aged 18+ and will be required to complete a parental consent form.
