Get your book signed by Peter on Saturday

Former Town Manager Peter Jackson’s new book ‘Living With Jacko’ in on sale at the Club now – and you can get it signed by the man himself on Saturday!

‘Jacko’ will be in the Stadium Superstore from 1.30pm on Saturday to sign his new book, which details his career in football.

Peter began a 32-year football career at his hometown club Bradford City in 1979, playing nearly 400 matches in two spells with the Bantams before joining the Terriers, where he made almost 200 appearances in four seasons, in 1990.

In 1997, he returned to Town for the first of two stints as manager, the second of which featured victory in the 2004 Play-Off Final at the Millennium Stadium.

And in 2011, he answered the call to take over at Valley Parade with City in dire peril of dropping out of the Football League. Peter kept them afloat only to leave the club three months later.

Throughout his career, the one person who has known the real Jacko has been Alison, his wife for 33 years - and now the two have combined to tell their extraordinary story in ‘Living with Jacko’, which has been published by Great Northern Books.
As well as Peter’s story, the book is also the story of Alison Jackson, the high-flying career woman who supported Peter and their two children as she built a successful business career of her own.

It details how, when Peter was diagnosed with life-threatening cancer, Alison, once an oncology nurse, put her career on hold to nurse him back to health, detailing the family trauma in a heart-wrenching diary.
It finishes with details of how Peter, the high-profile football manager, has moved from touchline to lifeline, providing hands-on home care for the elderly, the disabled and the terminally ill in the couple’s latest joint venture.

The book is priced at £17.99 and is on sale now in the Stadium Superstore and online at – click HERE. You can even pre-order a signed copy!
