HOLLYBANK TRUST IN HUDDERSFIELD TOWN

6 September 2013

Charity partner continues to work with the Club

Huddersfield Town is pleased to announce that it will continue to work closely with the Hollybank Trust during the 2013/14 season.

Hollybank meets the needs of children and adults with complex disabilities, and aims to reach way beyond meeting purely physical needs to nurture, develop and enrich the lives of those who spend time with the Trust.

The Hollybank Special School in Mirfield is one of only a few special schools in West Yorkshire to provide specialised education, therapy and care for children from 5 years of age through to 19. Alongside this the Trust offer a year round range of living accommodation to suit different needs, in a variety of geographical locations in West and South Yorkshire, in order to provide ‘quality of life, for life’ to all that spend time with them.

Through the charity partnership, Huddersfield Town will support the Hollybank Trust’s events, promote the excellent work they do and offer support and assistance in fundraising throughout the season.

Club Ambassador Andy Booth visited the Trust’s Headquarters, on Far Common Road, Mirfield, to extend the partnership.

Suzanne Barton, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Hollybank Trust, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been chosen once again to be one of Town’s charity partners. We are all looking forward to working closely with them throughout the season.

“As you can see from the smiles on our residents faces, there is a lot of excitement around the Trust about our close partnership with the football club which is priceless. Many of our residents and staff are Season Card holders and will be cheering Town on each week.”

Huddersfield Town Supporter Partnerships Manager, Robyn Deegan, added: “Huddersfield Town is fully committed to supporting the local community and charity work is a large part of that.

“The partnership was a great success during our first season working together, and we are looking forward to continuing and developing that partnership throughout the new season.”
