First ‘All Together Town’ meeting set for 19 September

Huddersfield Town has announced the latest development of its on-going commitment to fan engagement.  

The ‘All Together Town’ initiative is a new way for the Club and supporters to work together during the 2013/14 season. 

All Together Town (ATT) will seek feedback from supporters via surveys, face to face meetings and email groups on issues directly affecting everyone.  

The initiative will start by focusing on the home match day experience.

Huddersfield Town Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens explained: 

“The ‘All Together Town’ programme was borne out of the findings of the extensive ‘Ask Insight’ supporters’ survey the Club undertook at the end of 2012 (click HERE for full info on its findings).

“The survey identified hot topics and key areas for improvement, in particular on home match days, which included issues such as the quality and price of food and drink, stewarding, parking, match day entertainment and atmosphere. Now, with the return of shares in the John Smith’s Stadium to the Club, it is more a hot topic than ever.

“We want to open up, build and develop improved formal consultation and communications between the Club and fans about important off the field issues. It will not be ‘talking for talking’s sake’, but aims to make a real difference to fans and the Club. We’ve worked closely with the Huddersfield Town Supporters Association on the structure of this programme and we will continue to do so.

“We hope a really wide range of fans will come forward and take part as it is important for us to remember that views differ right across our fan-base. We know a topic high on the agenda for a family in the Fantastic Media Stand may not be a priority for, as an example, a fan sitting in the Britannia Rescue Stand. We want more, different voices to be heard in a way that results in positive progress and improvements. 

“We want to be able to target, prioritise and bring about changes in a structured and transparent manner after initially listening to the valued opinions of a cross section of Huddersfield Town fans.”

The Club will hold an initial fans meeting, open to all supporters, to discuss the programme in further detail, find out what the next steps will be, and hear more of the Club’s plans to recruit a Supporter Liaison Officer from the fan-base.

This initial meeting will be held at Canalside on Thursday 19 September, beginning at 7pm.

Due to the limited space at Canalside, supporters will require a free ticket to gain entry to the meeting. These can be obtained in person at the HTAFC ticket office; simply ask for a ticket for ‘All Together Town’. Alternatively, email alltogethertown@htafc.com with your name, client reference number, quantity desired and you will be contacted with details.

Should there still be room still available on the night, this will be pre-publicised.

Supporters that can’t make the meeting will be able to contribute questions via the Club’s live stream of the event on Google Hangout; more information about this will follow in due course.

The Club will also publish a full review of the initial meeting via the official website, htafc.com, and its social media channels.
