Fundraisers have until end of November to hand money in
Fundraisers have just under five weeks to collect and hand in their funds raised for the sponsored ‘Walk for Pounds’ event in aid of the ‘Keep It Up’ campaign, as sponsored by Stotts coaches.
It is hoped that the funds raised from the walk will take the campaign, which benefits the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Huddersfield Town Academy, close to the £1 million target.
The 19 mile walk from Leeds Bradford Airport to the Stadium which took place on October 5 was the third annual Walk for Pounds event, with the previous two raising £43,000 combined.
Town’s Supporter Partnerships Manager, Robyn Deegan, thanked the efforts of the 175 walkers:
“Everyone who took part on the day did a superb job and I was very proud to be a part of it – it made for a fantastic day. It is now important that the walkers chase up their donations, if they haven’t done so already, and get them into myself at the Club as quickly as possible, so that we can see how close we are to our target!”
The final date to hand money in is Friday 29 November.
Participants can hand in cash or cheques at the Stadium ticket office or main reception in an envelope with their name and Walk for Pounds on, or post cheques made payable to ‘Keep It Up’ campaign FAO Robyn Deegan, Huddersfield Town FC, John Smiths Stadium, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX.
