Striker wins award for the second successive month

Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan has been voted the Blue and White Foundation’s September Player of the Month.

The striker coasted to the award last month with eight goals in seven appearances, but was run close in the voting this month by defender Joel Lynch.

The former Everton player scored two goals in four games for the Terriers as they beat Charlton and drew with Blackpool last week.

BWF member Angela Metcalfe was selected at random from those that voted for Vaughan and she will now get the chance to meet James and present him with a bottle of champagne ahead of the Watford game on 5 October.

Angela will also receive a commemorative photograph of the occasion and a meal for two courtesy of the Grange Pub and Restaurant at Grange Moor.
