Past £20k winner praises Town’s exclusive members club
The Blue & White Foundation’s £20,000 draw will take place at Canalside on Thursday 14 November 2013 – and htafc.com caught up with past winner Stephen Ridgwick!
This year's end of year draw – the 10th in the history of the Blue & White Foundation – will once again offer a £20,000 first prize, with ten runners-up prizes of £500.
“I was actually at work on the night I won £20,000 and as a result, there was no signal on my phone,” Stephen told htafc.com. “I eventually got a message from my wife and ran the Club straight away!
“It was a major shock to the system and at first I thought someone was having a joke at my expense.
“I’ve been in the Blue and White Foundation since it pretty much began,” he continued. “I’ve supported the Club since 1978 when my Grandad took me to my first Town game. I joined as I wanted to support the Club and the Academy. It’s great to see the young players develop and they seem to be doing the business right now on the field. It all shows that the Club is going in the right direction and investing in home grown players.
“The day I was presented was great and the club looked after me and some of my friends. Lee Novak presented me with the cheque at our game against Brighton.
“My winnings paid my credit card off and I bought a 4x4 vehicle. I also treated the family to a holiday in Rhodes. The win came just before Christmas so it made it a brilliant time for us.
“I have continued as a BWF members as it’s such a good idea. My win has inspired my mates to join as well and there are always some great chances to win some good sums of money.”
Even if you’re not a member now, you could still win the top prize! Blue & White Foundation members who joined at the start of year 10 will have 52 chances of winning the prize, but if you join now you will still get three chances!
