Paterson and Norwood in Michael O’Neill’s squad
Town duo Martin Paterson and Oliver Norwood have received call-ups to Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland squad.
The pair were involved in Northern Ireland’s last two 2014 World Cup Qualifiers and are likely to be in action again when the Irish travel to Azerbaijan’s Bakcell Arena on Friday 11 October, 9pm kick-off.
O’Neill’s squad will then travel to Tel Aviv on Tuesday 15 October to take on Israel in the Ramat Gan Stadium, kick-off 8pm.
Paterson has scored two goals in three games for the Irish, with his latest strike coming during the 3-2 defeat in Luxembourg.
Midfielder Norwood has made twelve appearances for Northern Ireland and is yet to score whereas Paterson has three goals to his name from 18 appearances.
