NEW PATRON FOR TOWN FOUNDATION
11 October 2013
Children’s writer Helena Pielichaty has become the latest Patron of the Town Foundation – the official charity of Huddersfield Town.
The author of over thirty books for children and young adults - including a series on girls’ football - Helena joins Siobhan Greene, Ed Clancy and Andrew Gale as a Patron of the charity, which aims to help improve the quality of life for young people across Huddersfield and the West Yorkshire area.
Helena’s family moved to Huddersfield when she was 16 and she attended Huddersfield Girls’ High School’s sixth form, but it wasn’t until she met her future husband, Pete, that she attended her first Huddersfield Town match away at Wimbledon in 1982.
