A check on Town’s young loan stars
Huddersfield Town’s young loan stars endured a mixed weekend at their respective loan clubs – see below for a review of how they performed.
Chris Atkinson
Atkinson started for Tranmere who were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Swindon Town at the County Ground.
Their fourth straight league defeat sennt Rovers to the bottom of League 1.
Chris has been an ever-present in the Rovers’ midfield this year and has netted twice against Mansfield and Brentford respectively.
Liam Ridehalgh
Defender Ridehalgh also started for Tranmere after having his red card from last weekend rescinded.
Liam told Tranmere Player after the game: "I was really happy the FA let me play, it's just a shame about the result and that we didn't get the win we wanted.
“I think we were solid, it's just unfortunate about the penalty.
"I think when we get a win the confidence will come back. It's not easy losing and I think we just need a win to kick start it.”
Tranmere face Bradford on Sunday as they look to kick-start their season.
Jordan Sinnott
Sinnott made his ninth appearance for Bury in a 0-0 home draw with Newport County. It was his fourth league start for the Shakers, who have now gone six league games without a win.
Bury sit 18th in League 2, just one point above the drop zone, with Jordan facing Morecambe on Saturday as he looks to help turn around Bury's fortunes.
Jimmy Spencer
Striker Spencer made his first league start for Scunthorpe in a 2-0 victory over Cheltenham. He narrowly missed an opportunity in the first half to extend the Iron’s lead, before being replaced by Chris Iwelumo in the 83rd minute.
Jimmy and his side face Exeter at home on Saturday.
Lloyd Allinson
Allinson started in goal for Ilkeston in a 3-2 victory over Stocksbridge and made a number of good saves.
Ilkeston are now up to 5th in the Evo-Stik North Premier League.
