INTERNATIONAL CAPS FOR TOWN DUO
15 October 2013
Two Huddersfield Town players earned further senior caps for their nations during Tuesday evening’s World Cup qualifiers.
On-loan Swansea City man Jazz Richards (pictured) made his first start for the senior Wales side during their 1-1 draw at Belgium – his third cap for his country after two previous substitute appearances.
Elsewhere striker Martin Paterson earned his 19th Northern Ireland cap during their 1-1 away draw in Israel, playing the full 90 minutes. His international teammate Oliver Norwood has already returned to Huddersfield, as his yellow card at Azerbaijan on Saturday saw him suspended for tonight’s game.
Both Richards and Paterson will now return to Huddersfield ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game at Leicester City.
