LFE award for Town scholar
Huddersfield Town Academy scholar Jake Charles has been selected out of 1,250 Under-18 players across the country to feature in a new League Football Education (LFE) initiative called ‘The 11’.
The LFE, which delivers the ‘Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence’ educational programme to young players across England and Wales, has replaced its previous ‘Apprentice of the Month’ award with ‘The 11’, which recognises the football and academic progress of eleven apprentice players across the land.
The LFE will run this competition four times during the 2013/14 season and Jake - who has netted seven goals in eight games for Town’s Under-18s this season - has been named in the first selection.

This is the second LFE accolade Jake has been in line for recently; he also came second in their September Goal of the Month contest for a stunning strike in the 5-2 Professional Development League win at Sheffield Wednesday, in which he scored a hat-trick.
Jake is contracted to the Club until the summer of 2017.
