Defender Danny heading to Armenia
Huddersfield Town Academy scholar Danny Kane has been called up to the Republic of Ireland’s Under-17 squad for its upcoming UEFA European Championship qualifiers.
Danny has been summoned to the squad by Head Coach Tom Mohan for the upcoming qualifying tournament, which will be held in Yerevan, Armenia between 19 and 31 October 2013.
The Republic is part of qualifying group seven alongside England, Gibraltar and Armenia. All the qualifying games will be played in Armenia between 25 September and 29 October 2013.
The top two teams will qualify automatically for the Elite Round of qualifying alongside the best two third placed teams from all 13 groups.
The UEFA European Under-17 Championships will be held in Malta in 2014.
