Christmas kicks off in Huddersfield on Saturday

Terry the Terrier will be on hand this Saturday as the festive season officially begins in Huddersfield with the Christmas Lights Switch-On.

Town’s mascot will be at the launch at the Piazza, which is sponsored by club partner Kirklees College and the Lawrence Batley Theatre, to lead special Christmas games for children in the crowd from around 5.30pm ahead of the big switch-on at 6.30pm.

This will be Terry’s second successive appearance at the town centre switch-on; he also 2012’s event.

Paul Foster and Debbie Lindley from The Pulse Breakfast Show will be live on stage throughout the event, entertaining the crowds with games and music and introducing guests including Kirklees College singers and dancers who will be entertaining us.

Taking place on the Piazza from 4.30pm, this year the Christmas lights will be switched on by CBeebies’ favourite Sid Sloane.
