Chief Executive’s message to Town fans
Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens has today asked all Huddersfield Town fans to make sure the Club has their up to date information so they can benefit from the best offers!
Huddersfield Town ran a ‘Friend for a Fiver’ initiative ahead of the recent Sky Bet Championship game at home to Birmingham City, with just under 700 Season Card holders bringing a friend to the game following an online and offline campaign.
That offer was made via email to all Season Card holders for whom the Club has details, which consists of just over 70% of Season Card holders.
The Club will be running more initiatives - especially for Season Card holders - over the coming weeks and months and Nigel has today urged supporters to give the Club their details in order to benefit.
“The Club ran a number of offers to Season Card holders, fans who have come less frequently and potential new supporters ahead of the Birmingham City game. The aim of this was simple; to get as many people inside the ground as possible.
“Having the John Smith’s Stadium as full as possible is of benefit to everyone; it improves the atmosphere and brings obvious financial benefits to the Club.
“One of the main offers was a ‘Friend for a Fiver’ initiative to Season Card holders. Although we also gained support from the Huddersfield Examiner and placed an article on htafc.com, our main method of communication to Season Card holders was a direct email.
“That highlighted that we only have up to date contact details for 70% of our Season Card holders – and statistics show that only 10% actually read the email.
“Ahead of our upcoming home games, we will be running more internet-based retail and ticket offers to supporters; in particular Season Card holders. As a result, I would encourage our supporters to ensure the Club has your correct details so that you can get the most value out of your Season Card.”
