Striker nominated for April Player of the Month
James Vaughan is the running for the Football League’s April Player of the Month award.
The striker netted 14 goals in total during the season with four coming during an intense April for the Terriers.
His four goals helped the Terriers secure six vital points in their fight against relegation.
Three came away at Bristol City on the penultimate weekend of the season; the first Town hat trick of the season. His other came at home to Millwall in a 3-0 victory.
Vaughan led the line superbly for the Terriers and his form with strike partner Jermaine Beckford during the final few weeks of the season helped Town over the line and to Championship safety.
The striker’s nomination comes shortly after he lifted the Player of the Year award at the Club’s Annual Awards Ceremony.
