Three Development Squad games during July
Three pre-season friendlies have today been confirmed for Town’s Development Squad ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
Town U21s' first pre-season friendly at Northern Premier League Division One North club Radcliffe Borough will take place on on Friday 19 July, 7pm kick-off. This will be the second successive season that Town’s Development Squad has played a pre-season fixture at Stainton Park and during December 2012 Matt Crooks and James Burke spent a month on loan with the Boro.
The second confirmed Under-21 fixture will be played at Isthmian League Division One Champions Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday 23 July, kick-off to be confirmed. This new friendly has come about through the recent transfer of striker Daniel Carr from the London club to Huddersfield Town (click

Senior Professional Development Coach Steve Eyre will take his side to local side AFC Emley for the traditional pre-season fixture on Friday 26 July (7.15pm) at the Welfare Ground. As per previous seasons, the winner of the game will be awarded the Adrian Wright Memorial Trophy – named in honour of Emley’s late former Club President.
Admission information for all three games will follow on htafc.com in due course.
Further friendlies are in planning ahead of the start of the Under-21 Professional Development League 2 season on Saturday 17 August.
