Beckford back in line-up for end of season clash

Town Manager Mark Robins has brought fit-again Jermaine Beckford back into the starting line-up for today’s vital game against Barnsley; 12.45pm kick-off.

Beckford, who scored the only goal of the game when the two sides met at Oakwell back in November, returns after missing last weekend’s win at Bristol City with a groin injury; he replaces Lee Novak in the starting line-up.

Otherwise Town are unchanged from last weekend’s victory, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies making his 50th appearance of the season in goal behind a back four of Calum Woods, Anthony Gerrard, Captain Peter Clarke and Jack Hunt.

Adam Clayton makes the 150th appearance of his career on the right of midfield with Oliver Norwood partnering Oscar Gobern in the centre, leaving Sean Scannell on the left.

Up front, Jermaine Beckford partners top scorer James Vaughan.
