New Academy U18 intake confirmed
Eight young players will begin their two year scholarships at the Huddersfield Town Academy at the start of the 2013/14 season with the aim of earning professional contracts at the Club.
Senior Professional Development Coach Steve Eyre and Professional Development Coaches Frankie Bunn and Tony Carss were joined by Academy Manager Mark Lillis and Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens who all congratulated the new scholars on their achievements to date at the Academy's induction evening ahead of Town’s final game of the season against Barnsley.
The Academy is back in training on 1 July and this season new first year scholars Fraser Horsfall, Nathaniel Pells, Danny Kane, Bradley Carroll, Ben Atkinson, Jack Senior, Philip Billing and Sheildan Rogers will join second year players William Boyle, Jake Charles, Kedesh Goddard, Ben Holmes, Michael Starkey, Jacob Turner and Joe Wilkinson to form the under-18 squad.
The scholars will combine their work on the pitch with an educational programme, as structured by League Football Education (LFE).

Fraser Horsfall
Central defender who has already played and scored for the under-18s this season
Nathaniel Pells
Central defender who has featured on the bench for the U18s this season during the FA Youth Cup run
Danny Kane (not present on the evening)
Signed from Irish side Cherry Orchard during the 2012/13 season; captain of Ireland U16s
Bradley Carroll
Recently signed from Manchester United; played a key role as Town beat Sheffield Wednesday recently
Jack Senior
Midfielder who hails from Halifax; joined Town aged 10 after playing for Elland
Philip Billing
Danish midfielder who will join from Esjberg
Sheidan Rogers
Winger who played junior football at Deighton Juniors before joining Town aged 6
Ben Atkinson
Central midfielder who is brother of First Team player Chris; played in the 1-0 victory for the Under-21s at Leeds recently.
