First Team’s schedule takes shape
The majority of Huddersfield Town’s pre-season First Team friendlies against professional opposition have today been confirmed.
Four games have now been confirmed throughout July as Manager Mark Robins takes control of his first pre-season ahead of the 2013/14 Championship season, with a further two games in planning.
Town’s first confirmed pre-season game will take place at the Proact Stadium on Saturday 13 July, when Robins’ side will take on League 2 Chesterfield in a 3pm kick-off.
Another away trip to League 2 opposition closely follows on Tuesday 16 July at York City’s Bootham Crescent; 7.45pm kick-off.
The Terriers will then make their first ever trip to Rotherham United’s New York Stadium to take on Steve Evans’ newly promoted League 1 side in a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 20 July.
The pre-season schedule will end with a friendly at League 1 side’s Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park on Saturday 27 July, 3pm kick-off.
The remaining fixtures could be an away game ahead of these fixtures and, it is hoped, a home game on Wednesday 24 July.
Other fixtures against non-league opposition will be confirmed at a later date on htafc.com.
