TOWN’S TEAM vs. HULL CITY

30 March 2013

Beckford starts in Town’s only change

Huddersfield Town Manager has brought Jermaine Beckford back into the starting XI for today’s npower Championship game at home to Hull City; 5.20pm kick-off in front of the live Sky TV cameras.

Beckford, fresh from earning his first two caps for Jamaica during the international break, makes his first start for the Terriers in 14 games following his troublesome hamstring injury at the expense of Danny Ward, who drops to the bench.

Otherwise the Terriers are unchanged from the 2-1 West Yorkshire derby win at Leeds United a fortnight ago.

Alex Smithies will make the 150th League start of his career this afternoon behind a back four of Paul Dixon, Captain Peter Clarke, Jack Hunt and former Hull City Player of the Year Anthony Gerrard on his 300th League appearance of his career.

Oscar Gobern and Oliver Norwood will continue in central midfield with Adam Clayton in a slightly more advanced position, with nine goal top scorer James Vaughan and Neil Danns flanking the returning Beckford in attack.
