2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Huddersfield Town midfielder Oliver Norwood has been called into the Northern Ireland squad for its upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. 

The Irish will play Russia at Windsor Park in Belfast on the evening of Friday 22 March before hosting Israel at the same venue on Tuesday 26 March. 

The 21 year-old, who already has nine caps for the Northern Irish senior team, has netted three goals in 34 appearances from midfield for the Terriers so far this season.

He is the fifth Town player to receive an international call-up this week, following on from Jamaican duo Theo Robinson and Jermaine Beckford (click HERE), Wales defender Joel Lynch (click HERE) and Scottish Under-21 international Murray Wallace (click HERE).
