LILLIS TO SPEAK TO DEMENTIA SUFFERS

28 March 2013

Academy Manager set to talk about memories of playing days

Huddersfield Town Academy Manager Mark Lillis will talk about his playing days when he meets with dementia sufferers in mid-April.

Lillis will be the guest at a question and answer session with sufferers looked after by workers from Ossett Community Mental Health Team.

The Q&A will take place on 18 April at the Zone, St Andrews Road where they will also take part in Walking Football with Andy Booth.

After playing football they will have a look through the ‘Memory Book’ that Town created from memories that fans provided ahead of Town’s dedicated dementia game.

Football in the Community Coach Rob Day will then take them on a tour of the Stadium.

Prior to the event Town’s team of Football in the Community Coaches worked with the NHS to receive specialist training on how to look after and work with dementia sufferers.
