Beckford & Robinson earn international accolades

Huddersfield Town’s Jamaican loan duo Jermaine Beckford and Theo Robinson earned further caps for their country overnight in the World Cup qualifiers.

Beckford started his second game for the Reggae Boyz whereas fellow striker Robinson earned his third cap as a second half substitute. However, Jamaica fell to the bottom of their qualifying group as the hosts ran out as 2-0 winners.

Elsewhere Joel Lynch and Oliver Norwood where unused substitutes for Wales and Northern Ireland respectively in their World Cup qualifying games last night.

Those four, alongside Scotland Under-21 international Murray Wallace, will now return to Huddersfield ahead of Saturday’s npower Championship game at home to Hull City.
